Greene re-elected in Georges River

Kevin Greene has been re-elected as Mayor of Georges River in Sydney’s south-west.

Mayor Greene (pictured), who has been elected to the Mayoral role at every election since September 2017, said he was proud to continue to represent the residents of Georges River.

“I am honoured to be re-elected as Mayor of Georges River and I thank my fellow Councillors for their support,” Mayor Greene said.

“We have achieved a great deal since the creation of Georges River Council and we will continue to achieve the best possible outcomes for our community.

“I am proud of the social, economic and cultural services we have established in Georges River and I will continue to advocate for additional opportunities for our community.

“I look forward to maintaining and elevating the diverse services and facilities in our community so that we can attract investment and jobs and establish Georges River as a key strategic centre in Sydney,” Councillor Greene said.

Mayor Greene will be joined by Councillor Stephen Agius, who was re-elected as Deputy Mayor.

“I look forward to continuing to support our community through the COVID-19 pandemic and making sure we are in the best possible position to open up after restrictions ease,” Councillor Agius said.
