Goulburn Mulwaree Council has announced the resignation of Chief Executive Officer, Aaron
Johansson, just two years after he joined the organisation.
Mr Johansson was appointed to the CEO role in July 2022 following his departure from Charters Towers Regional Council in Queensland.
An Extraordinary Meeting of Council has been scheduled for 7 November to appoint an interim Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Mayor, Nina Dillon, issued a statement following Mr Johansson’s resignation, saying, “I want to assure everyone that there will be no disruptions or impact on service delivery. Council has a highly capable and committed team of directors and staff.”
On behalf of Council, Mayor Dillon also expressed gratitude for Mr Johansson’s service.
“We would like to extend our thanks to Aaron for his leadership over the past two and a half years and wish him all the best in his future endeavours,” she said.
