Logan City Council’s commitment to an annual celebration of community has been formally recognised by Relationships Australia.
Council features on an online list of Australian community, business and government organisations seen as ‘Very Neighbourly Organisations’ for the way it upholds and promotes the principles of Neighbour Day.
The annual celebration of community, which occurs this year on Sunday, March 31, is co-ordinated nationwide by Relationships Australia.
It aims to connect people with their neighbours to address feelings of loneliness and foster a sense of belonging.
Council is encouraging the local community to host Neighbour Day picnics on the weekend of Neighbour Day 2024 – Saturday, March 30 and Sunday, March 31.
