Gold hat-trick for Georges River reporting

NSW

Georges River Council received a Gold Award at this month’s 2023 Australasian Reporting Awards (ARA) for its 2021/2022 Annual Report.

Gold Award reports are considered model reports for other organisations to follow and this is the third consecutive Gold Award the Council has received.

To win a Gold Award, a report must demonstrate overall excellence in annual reporting, provide high quality coverage of the criteria set by the ARA and full disclosure of key aspects of the organisation’s core business.

The Awards are open to organisations in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors across Australia, New Zealand and countries in the Asia-Pacific region and measured against global best practice.

Georges River Council Mayor, Nick Katris said the award recognised the significant effort by Council staff in producing an annual report of high quality in both content and design.

“A lot of hard work goes into delivering the Annual Report so I would like to congratulate all the Council staff who helped put it together,” the Mayor said.

“Receiving another Gold Award is a fantastic achievement and is a testament of staff’s hard work and dedication to our community.”
