The City of Greater Geelong Council is inviting the region’s young people to take part in a survey aimed at helping the Council to better understand the ongoing impacts the COVID-19 pandemic is having on their health and wellbeing.
A research project entitled The Covid-19 Youth Impact Report is been undertaken by Council’s Youth Development Unit and is hoping to draw on input from young people across the municipality.
Council’s Youth Development Unit is hoping to learn how to better support young people in the region by combining a review of current literature with the results of an online survey.
“The region’s youth were among the groups most affected by the impact of the pandemic, and it is important that they are supported in the best way possible,” says Mayor, Trent Sullivan.
“I encourage young people to complete the survey so as to help us understand the impacts that the COVID-19 pandemic is having, and has had, on their lives.
“The information will be very useful in influencing future programs aimed at addressing these impacts,” he said.
Residents can part in the survey now. The public engagement period will close on 17 February 2023.
