The NSW Government has announced a deadline extension to apply for EV charger funding.
In May this year, the state government announced it would help regional businesses and councils to attract more visitors to their sites with funding towards the purchase and installation of an electric vehicle (EV) charger.
There is now more time for Councils to apply, with applications for the EV destination charging grants now extended to Friday 11 November 2022 at 5pm AEST.
The number of EV drivers has tripled in the past 12 months alone and this number is growing rapidly, the Government said in a statement.
The NSW Government has also set a 2030 target that over half of all new vehicles bought in NSW every year will be electric vehicles.
