Encore for Narromine Dolly Parton Festival

Narromine Shire Council has announced the return of the Narromine Dolly Parton Festival, to be held on Saturday, 11 October.

The event promises a full day of entertainment, community activities and Dolly Parton inspired fun for all ages.

The festival will commence with a Street Party in Dandaloo Street from 9:30am to 1:30pm. The morning program will feature live music, busking, market and food stalls, children’s activities and opportunities to enjoy shopping in the local business precinct. Everyone is encouraged to embrace the festival spirit by dressing in their best Dolly-inspired style.

From 4pm, celebrations will kick on at Cale Oval, with the official program hosted by Timberlina. Highlights of the evening will include performances by Donna Campbell, crowd favourites Ballz N All, Country Legend Tributes and Tanya Andrew. The popular best dressed competition will also return, with categories for Dolly Parton, Kenny Rogers and a special category for younger participants.

The 2025 Narromine Dolly Parton Festival is a free community event, supported by the NSW Government’s Open Streets Program, led by Transport for NSW.

Narromine Shire Council was successful in receiving $158,182 in funding to support the program over three years.

NSW Minister for Transport, John Graham said the Government was excited to support the festival.

“Too often our main streets are something we drive through, rather than drive to. Our main streets are a critical part of our social infrastructure, and this program demonstrates how we can use our streets to bring communities together and drive revenue for local businesses,” said Mr Graham.

“The Open Streets program temporarily transforms our main streets into thriving, vibrant public event spaces. “The colour and diversity of these 240 events across NSW, celebrates the unique personality of each town or suburb. This is what our vibrancy agenda is all about, backing locals to create events and entertainment that works for their local community.”

Free tickets are available through 123TIX, where you can also find information on transport options. A variety of food and drinks will be offered by on-site vendors, so don’t forget to bring a chair or picnic rug to sit back and enjoy the fun!

Everyone is encouraged to join the festivities in Narromine for a vibrant celebration of music, fun and a whole lot of Dolly magic.
