City of Perth seeks cultural advisory group members

City of Perth Council is seeking expressions of interest for its Culture and Arts Advisory Group (CAAG) – a key forum guiding the City’s cultural direction.

CAAG brings together leading thinkers and practitioners to provide strategic insight on arts, culture and heritage in Perth. The Council says members play an important role in shaping a creative, connected and culturally rich city, contributing to major initiatives including planning for 2029 bicentenary and the renewal of the City’s Public Art Strategy.

CAAG includes up to 11 members from across the creative and heritage sectors. The group meets three times per year, with additional opportunities to contribute to workshops and discussions.

“We are seeking people with expertise or lived experience across a range of areas, including creative industries, heritage, urban design, cultural tourism, public programs and First Nations and Whadjuk Nyoongar cultural knowledge,” the Council said in a statement.

Nominations close at 5pm on Friday 3 June.
