The City of Perth has recently appointed two new senior members to the City’s Executive Leadership Team.
Allan Mason (pictured), who will start in April, will be the City’s new General Manager Infrastructure and Operations.
Mr Mason is a seasoned engineer and executive, who has wealth of experience and proven track record in leadership for projects and operations management across Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, the UK, and Africa within the buildings, cities, transport & logistics, road, rail, aviation, ports, and infrastructure sector.
Mr Mason is a Fellow of the Institute of Engineers Australian and has a Masters in Transport and Engineering.
City of Perth CEO, Michelle Reynolds said he would bring a wealth of experience to the City of Perth.
“Allan has both international and local expertise and will bring a fresh approach and a range of highly sought-after skills that will be of immense benefit the City’s infrastructure operations and the delivery of projects now and into the future,” Ms Reynolds said.
The City has also announced the appointment of Michelle Antonio as General Counsel for the City of Perth.
Ms Antonio has significant experience as General Counsel and previously served on executive leadership teams. She has focused her career in Risk and Governance within Western Australian as well as with national ASX and Singaporean Stock Exchange listed entities.
Ms Antonio has worked in both private practice and with a top tier contractor where she practiced in a broad range of areas including commercial, insurance, construction, disputes and litigation, infrastructure, projects, property and employment. Her primary focus for over a decade has been in corporate governance including code of conduct matters, ethics and corporate investigations.
Ms Reynolds said Ms Antonio had been responsible for establishing and overseeing corporate governance reform and establishing the in-house legal function of both Australian and internationally listed entities.
“Michelle is known for her strategy, commercial acumen and personable attitude. Her ability to design corporate governance policies to improve the organisational accountability will ensure the City of Perth is aligned with best practice,” Ms Reynolds said.
“These are two key appointments for the City of Perth and they come at an exciting and invigorating time for the organisation.
“I am delighted that so many highly qualified professionals from a wide range of sectors applied for these two positions. It is testament that the City of Perth has entered a new era and many people now want to be part of this wonderful organisation and contribute the future of our capital city.
