City of Palmerston Councillor resigns

City of Palmerston Councillor, Danielle Eveleigh, has resigned from her role with the organisation.

Ms Eveleigh (pictured) was elected to the 10th City of Palmerston Council and has been a dedicated advocate for the Palmerston community throughout her term, the Council said in a statement following her resignation.

“Danielle’s strong commitment to the Palmerston community was evident during her time as an Elected Member,” said Acting Mayor Damian Hale.

“She was actively engaged in local events and maintained close connections with the residents she represented.

“Council thanks Danielle for her service and wishes her all the best in the future.”

The Council said it is currently considering its options to fill the vacancy, noting that Local Government elections are scheduled for August.
