Campaspe Council takes permit process online

Victoria’s Campaspe Shire Council has expanded its online service capability with the community now able to lodge planning applications and land information certificates via Council’s website.

Chief Executive Officer, Declan Moore said Council has been progressively moving certain services online since 2018.

“Our commitment is to provide a customer service experience that is effortless, accurate and friendly, including those services that can be effectively transacted or delivered online,” Mr Moore said.

“It’s also about responding to changing expectations and giving customers choice; the ability to do their business with Council where and when it suits them.

“Since we’ve been moving services online, there has been a steady increase in people opting to pay their accounts or lodge a customer request via the website.

“Now they will be able to undertake the planning application process online.”

General Manager Development, Paul McKenzie said Council’s planning service was one of the most utilised by the community with approximately 600 planning applications received annually.

“Moving the planning application process and land information certificates online will make it easier and more convenient for residents, businesses and land developers,” Mr McKenzie said.

“Instead of having to wait until Council’s customer service centres open, people can now take care of their personal and business planning needs at any time, day or night.”
