Small businesses in Camden are set for a digital boost, with Camden Council partnering with the Australian Government and the Australian School of Employment (ASE) to deliver the Digital Solutions Program from 2026 to 2030.
The Council says the new partnership will give local businesses access to practical training, expert support and digital resources designed to help them build their digital capability, keep pace with changing technology and grow in an increasingly digital economy.
The program will provide free workshops, webinars, online tutorials and learning resources, covering topics including digital marketing, websites, selling online, business software, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and data privacy.
Eligible businesses will also have access to expert mentoring pathways, including up to five hours of private one-on-one digital business mentoring, subject to Australian Government co-contribution requirements.
Mayor, Vince Ferreri said the partnership would give local businesses practical tools and support to navigate the rapidly changing digital landscape.
“Small businesses are so important to our local economy, and we want to make sure they have the skills and confidence to go after digital opportunities available to them,” he said.
“This partnership is a fantastic opportunity for local business owners to learn from experts, explore new technologies and develop practical skills they can put to work in their businesses straight away. And there’s no cost for businesses to participate in the workshops, webinars or general online resources.
“There will be opportunities for businesses at every stage of their digital journey, so I really do encourage all eligible businesses to check it out.”
The partnership will deliver up to four practical face-to-face workshops in the Camden area each financial year, alongside webinars, on-demand tutorials and other digital learning resources.
The first workshop in the program will be Build Your Brand in Canva, taking place on Thursday 29 October, 6.15-8.30pm, at Camden Civic Centre. Delivered as part of Small Business Month 2026, the workshop will give attendees practical tips and hands-on skills to create professional, engaging branding and marketing materials for their business.
