Camden Careers Expo returns

Camden Council will this month host its third Careers Expo for young people and jobseekers.

The expo is being hosted in partnership with Training Services NSW as part of National Careers Week.

This event is ideal for school leavers, path-changers and those looking to upskill within their existing roles, as well as explore alternate training and education opportunities, the Council said in a statement.

“Council invites those who are seeking to learn more to attend the expo, held at Julia Reserve Youth Precinct on Tuesday 14 May, from 10am – 7pm.”

The event is FREE, and will showcase a range of exhibitors, including:

  • Qantas
  • Western Sydney International Airport
  • The University of Notre Dame Australia
  • Tafe NSW
  • Various disability service providers

Mayor, Ashleigh Cagney, encouraged young people and career seekers to utilise the expo to
explore their future possibilities.

“Council is focused on delivering resources to all those seeking to change, advance or learn of local opportunities and training on offer. This is a perfect event to learn all those things,” she said.

“The Camden Careers Expo has been so beneficial in motivating individuals to not only gain insight into their future career, but also network, develop interpersonal skills and boost their employment confidence.”
