Baw Baw Shire Council has announced the appointment of Mick Cummins as the organisation’s Acting Chief Executive Officer.
Mr Cummins (pictured) will step into the role of Acting Chief Executive Officer until mid-December to support the organisation’s immediate needs following the departure of Tilla Buden, who is taking leave for breast cancer treatment.
Mr Cummins commenced with Baw Baw Shire Council in June following an extensive career in Local Government, where he has held several executive roles including most recently, where he served as the CEO of Bayside City Council for seven years.
Mayor, Kate Wilson thanked Mr Cummins for supporting the organisation through this period.
“The Councillor group will work through longer-term logistics and organisational impacts over the coming months, and we will keep all staff and the wider community informed of any developments,” she said.
