World-first SaaS+ ERP powers Wagga’s vision for smarter community services

Wagga Wagga City Council has become the 120th organisation to leverage TechnologyOne SaaS+, a world-first model for delivering modern, efficient business systems without the risks of cost and time blowouts that plague traditional IT projects.

TechnologyOne says SaaS+ eliminates charges for core implementation services, ensuring everyone involved in an IT project is focused on delivering software faster and spending benefits to the community.

Wagga Wagga City Council is set to futureproof operations and deliver smarter, more efficient services by embracing modern Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) technology, OneCouncil.

OneCouncil is specifically designed and built in Australian for local government to streamline and automate everyday council operations such as budgeting, project management and planning, freeing staff from admin tasks to focus on driving stronger customer engagement and delivering high-quality services.

Scott Gray, Chief Operating Officer at Wagga Wagga City Council, said: “Investing in smart digital solutions like OneCouncil ensures we’re not just meeting the needs of today, but building a more responsive, efficient council for the future.”

“We are thrilled to extend our 26-year-strong partnership with TechnologyOne and look forward to equipping our staff with better tools and resources so they can do what they do best – serving our community.”

Ben Malpass, Executive Vice President for Local Government at TechnologyOne, said: “Adoption of SaaS+ has doubled over the past two quarters, with councils including Waverley, Salisbury, and now Wagga Wagga making the switch.

“Councils are under pressure to drive productivity and efficiency without compromising service or safety. Our SaaS+ model offers a faster go-live, minimal risk, and a single annual fee – replacing lengthy, costly, and complex implementations.

“Our recognition in the ASX100 reflects the strength of our team and the trust of customers like Wagga Wagga. We look forward to continuing our partnership and delivering lasting results,” said Mr Malpass.
