Councils and not-for-profit organisations can apply for funding to help host Women’s Week Events, which is set to run 7-13 March 2022.
Grants of between $3000 and $5000 are available from Women NSW for events that bring women and girls of all backgrounds together and provide practical support to participants.
Councils (and their section 355 committees) will be required to cash match or provide in-kind support up to the value of $5000.
Funding for events in this category should:
- provide opportunities that enable women and girls to actively participate in their communities;
- build confidence and resilience of women and girls;
- celebrate achievements of women and girls.
Examples of some events/activities that may fit into this category are:
- mentoring events;
- networking events;
- club events promoting/increasing women’s participation.
Applications are via Women NSW, and close 15 November 2021.
