Kylie Spears has been unanimously re-elected Mayor of Maroondah City Council – her third term in the city’s top job.
Mayor Spears will be supported by Councillor Linda Hancock, who was elected to the role of Deputy Mayor.
“It is an absolute honour to continue to represent our Maroondah community as your Mayor,” Mayor Spears said.
“I am committed to serving the people of Maroondah to the best of my ability with energy, passion, commitment and integrity. I look forward to working with my fellow Councillors – who all bring their own unique talents, experiences and perspectives and will share equally in the decision making.”
Mayor Spears said she looks forward to leading the newly formed Council to further enhance the Maroondah community.
“During the term we will be finalising our next community vision, Maroondah 2050. It will be a critical time for us to work together as we look to the future and ensure we are shaping a Maroondah that meets the needs, as well as capturing the hopes and aspirations, of our community,” she said.
