Blue Mountains City Council has commenced improvement works at the Springwood IGA car park.
The project will involve stabilisation and resealing of the car park surface to fix wear and tear and improve access for local businesses, shoppers and visitors.
To minimise disruption, works will be staged over a three-week period and carried out at night between 7.00pm and 5.00am. This approach will allow the car park to remain accessible during the day. During work hours, car park users are encouraged to use the alternative town centre car park located on Springwood Avenue.
Mayor, Mark Greenhill said Council had carefully planned the works to reduce impacts on the busy town centre.
“By scheduling work overnight and staging it across several weeks, we’re aiming to minimise disruption while delivering this important remediation work,” Mayor Greenhill said.
