South Hurstville Kindergarten has received an ‘Excellent’ rating from KindiCare.
The KindiCare Rating is a rating developed by the organisation to enable parents and guardians, childcare providers, childcare educators and directors and government to compare the quality of childcare services provided in Australia.
The KindiCare Rating is a summary of all the information and data about a childcare service collected and held by KindiCare. Unlike other assessments of quality, performance and satisfaction, the numerical rating given to each childcare service by KindiCare is derived from a number of factors that can contribute to the quality of care provided by a service. These include:
- Government service quality audits, ratings, reviews and trends;
- Community feedback aggregated by KindiCare from a number of sources including market reviews and opinions;
- The type of childcare service and characteristics of the provider, centre and offering;
- The currency and quality of the information available for the service;
- The stability and length of operation of the provider managing the centre and delivering the service.
All of this information is ingested and used by KindiCare’s proprietary algorithm to generate a unique and independent rating of every childcare service in Australia.
Only 12% of kindergartens featured on KindiCare have received an ‘Excellent’ or higher rating.
Georges River Council Mayor, Sam Elmir congratulated the South Hurstville Kindergarten team, saying “We are very proud of our South Hurstville Kindergarten Early Childhood Educators. This rating reiterates the quality, performance, and service levels of Georges River Council Early Learning Services”.
“Receiving an ‘Excellent’ rating from KindiCare is not just a recognition; it’s a testament to our unwavering commitment to excellence in childcare. I encourage all parents who have children enrolled in a Council Early Learning Service to leave a review or provide feedback to your facility.”
He said Council’s other Early Learning Services were not far off the ‘Excellent’ rating, having achieved an ‘Outstanding’ rating.
“Our teams at these facilities are dedicated to nurturing young minds. Achieving this status shows that we’ve not only met but exceeded the highest standards set forth by both the communities we serve and regulatory authorities.”
“Being awarded this certification means that every aspect of our childcare service, from the qualifications of our staff to the safety measures we uphold, has been meticulously evaluated and acknowledged as exceptional. Parents can rest assured that their child’s welfare and development are in the most capable hands,” the Mayor said.
