Rockhampton showreel pulls focus on investment opportunities

Rockhampton Regional Council has launched a video showcasing the potential it says the region has to offer to local and overseas investors.

Produced locally, the showcase reel gives an insight into the industry sectors that the region currently services, including manufacturing, construction, renewables, agribusiness, water, education and aviation.

Rockhampton Region Mayor, Tony Williams said it is fantastic to have a video that could be used to promote the region to both domestic and international investors.

“Rockhampton really does have diverse industry. While we will always retain our Beef Capital status, it’s important to get the message out that our region is so much more than that,” Mayor Williams said.

“Rockhampton has so much to offer and this video showcases the variety of opportunities we have here locally. We have a business community that has established a footprint across many sectors, including agribusiness, manufacturing, resources, construction and education, just to name a few”.

Advance Rockhampton Executive Manager, Greg Bowden said the video was a great opportunity to highlight local industry. It follows extensive collaboration with local businesses over the past year.

“The actors you see on screen are all local people, working in successful long term local businesses. Rockhampton has a resilient economy, providing the opportunity to establish your business in a region that offers not only a collaborative business to business mindset, but a place where employees can enjoy all the fantastic lifestyle and liveability opportunities available,” Mr Bowden said.

“We encourage local businesses to use these videos in their promotional material, in tender submissions, at their events and even on their television in the office foyer.

“Advance Rockhampton are focused on driving long term sustainable economic growth for the region. This video is a valuable tool for Rockhampton Regional Council and Advance Rockhampton to assist in attracting internal and external investment into our Central Queensland and we are excited to see it being used to promote Rockhampton Region.”

The launch of the investment attraction video has been timed to follow the recent successful launch of the promotional ‘Mountain Biking’ tourism video developed under the Explore Rockhampton Brand. The promotional video showcases just one of the great experiences visitors can enjoy when they come and visit Rockhampton, with the video aiming to target riders from across the nation to make Rockhampton a ‘must do’ mountain biking destination.
