Rockhampton apprenticeship intake opens

Rockhampton Regional Council’s 2023 Apprenticeship and Traineeship intake has opened.

Council CEO, Evan Pardon said the program was a fantastic opportunity for those looking to join the workforce or change careers.

“The program provides valuable work experience, a nationally recognised qualification, and access to quality mentoring throughout the entire apprenticeship or traineeship,” Mr Pardon said.

“This year we’re thrilled to be offering a large variety of opportunities having grown our program by 50% from an offering of six fields in 2022, to nine fields in 2023.

“We are truly proud of our Apprenticeship and Traineeship Program and the opportunities it provides each year.

“What makes this even more special is that these qualifications can often lead to permanent roles with Council. A number of employees currently on our workforce started off as apprentices or trainees.”
