Redland City Council has applauded the Queensland Government $15 million commitment to the delivery of the planned multi-level car park within the Weinam Creek Priority Development Area (PDA).
For the past decade, the Council has advocated to the Queensland Government to partner in delivery of a park ānā ride facility at Weinam Creek ferry terminal as part of the Queensland Governmentās TransLink services.
Redland Investment Corporation, on behalf of Redland City Council, recently signed an MOU with Consolidated Properties Group as the preferred development partner to deliver the multi-storey car park and retail precinct within the Weinam Creek PDA.
The commercial precinct involves the construction of a multi-level car park and dedicated retail space for a grocery outlet and specialty stores.
“Council appreciates the Queensland Governmentās support for this vital community and public transport infrastructure project and looks forward to discussing the details of the Stateās interest,” the Council said in a statement.
