Randwick council launches new services app

Randwick City Council has launched a new web app that makes it easier for residents to access services and make payments in one convenient spot.

The new web app, Randwick Now, can be accessed on desktop and mobile, and provides residents with access to Council’s most popular services. Residents can book household clean-up collections, access live beach cameras, submit service requests, report a problem or missed bin collection, and order FOGO caddy liners. Residents can also pay for rates, invoices, licences, and pay and track applications.

Council manages more than 60,000 service requests a year online, over the phone and in-person.

Mayor, Dylan Parker said the new web app was designed to improve residents’ experiences with Council.

“We’re making it easier and faster for community members to get things done with Randwick City Council,” Mayor Parker said.

“The new Randwick Now web app connects directly with our internal systems, meaning requests will reach the right team faster and they will receive quicker responses.”

Council is encouraging residents using third party apps such as Snap Send Solve to raise service requests to switch to Randwick Now.

“We want your experience with Council to be easy, responsive, and convenient,” Mayor Parker said.

“We’re encouraging people to switch to the Randwick Now online service rather than use third party apps because it helps us respond to your requests quicker. You will experience better communication, and quicker responses and outcomes.”

The Randwick Now web app works on both Android and Apple mobile phones, and on desktop. It does not take up storage space on phones as it is a web app.
