The NSW Electoral Commission has issued a reminder to anyone who is yet to return their postal vote for the 2024 NSW Local Government.
To be counted, ballot papers and postal vote certificates must have been completed by 6pm Saturday, 14 September (election day).
Acting NSW Electoral Commissioner, Dr Matthew Philips said postal votes must be returned to the Electoral Commission by 6pm, Friday 27 September in order to be included in the count.
“We encourage anyone holding on to their postal vote pack to send it back to us as soon as possible to ensure it reaches us before the deadline.”
“438,864 postal votes were issued for the 2024 NSW local council elections and so far 355,905 have been returned. If you voted by 6pm on election day, make sure your vote counts by returning it,” he said.
