Basil Zempilas has been returned as Lord Mayor of the City of Perth Council, defeating rival candidate, Sandy Anghie, to secure a second term in the top job.
Counting is underway for the four vacant City of Perth Councillor positions and will be announced in due course, the Council said in a statement overnight.
