Local government women’s leaders and change makers from across NSW will come together in Blacktown next month for the 2026 Annual Conference of the Australian Local Government Women’s Association NSW (ALGWA NSW).
The conference is set to take place from Thursday, 26 March to Saturday, 28 March.
Hosted by Blacktown City Council, this year’s conference will celebrate female contributions to local government, strengthens professional networks, and inspires positive community impact. The three-day program will feature a mix of conference sessions, networking events and special activities designed to enhance leadership skills and foster collaboration.

“This conference is an opportunity to share knowledge, celebrate achievements and foster the confidence of women leaders across NSW.”
Highlights of the Conference Program include:
- Welcome Function at Sydney Zoo – Thursday, 26 March;
- Conference Sessions at The Colebee, Nurragingy Reserve – Friday 27 and Saturday 28 March;
- Gala Dinner at Bowman Hall featuring the amazing bans ‘The Frocks’ – Saturday 28 March;
- Optional Tours and Activities, including Blacktown Animal Rehoming Centre and the Blacktown Excellence & Sports Technology Hub;
- Conference venues across Blacktown include Bowman Hall, The Colebee at Nurragingy Reserve and other key locations in the region;
