Chief Executive Officers can now nominate for the LGA CEO Advisory Group for a two-year term.
The new term starts 1 February 2025 and runs through to 31 January 2027.
Successful candidates must attend at least four meetings per year. Meetings are usually held at LG House on a Thursday afternoon.
Eligibility
You must currently be employed in a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) (or equivalent) role of a South Australian council.
To be eligible to nominate, you must have appropriate qualifications, experience and/or knowledge in:
- infrastructure, planning and delivery, and grant management
- project management, financial management and governance
- local, regional and state transport planning
- the evaluation of grant applications, including analysis of technical and financial information.
How to nominate
To submit your nomination, email the following as PDF documents to nominationscoordinator@lga.sa.gov.au:
- a completed nomination form DOCX, 58.07 KB which includes your responses to the selection criteria;
- your current CV;
- endorsement of your nomination from your council’s CEO.
As this is a committee of the LGA, not an Outside Body, nominations don’t have to be endorsed by a council resolution.
Applications close 29 November 2024.
Once nominations close, the LGA Nominations Committee will meet to review the nominations. The committee will then present their recommendation to the LGA Board of Directors for consideration.
The role of the CEO Advisory Group is to consider:
- the value and validity of services offered by the LGA to its members;
- proposals for the further development of existing or new LGA services;
- the effectiveness of operational policies adopted by the LGA in connection with member services.
