Swan Hill Rural City Council has announced the appointment of Bendigo Stadiums as the new centre manager for Swan Hill Stadium, following a formal tender process for the lease contract.
The Council said the partnership marks an exciting new chapter for the stadium, ensuring high-quality management and operations to support the local sporting community.
Bendigo Stadiums brings a wealth of experience in facility management, events, and community engagement, making them an ideal choice to enhance the stadium’s offerings, said Mayor, Stuart King.
“We are excited to work with Bendigo Stadiums to ensure Swan Hill Stadium continues to provide excellent facilities for our community. Their expertise in managing sporting venues will be invaluable in fostering participation and enhancing the user experience,” the Mayor said.
Bendigo Stadiums General Manager – Sports and Participation, Craig Armstead, expressed his enthusiasm about the opportunity.
“We are delighted to expand our operations to Swan Hill and look forward to working closely with the Council, sporting groups, and the broader community to maximise the stadium’s potential,” Mr Armstead said.
The transition to Bendigo Stadiums’ management is now underway, with stadium users and stakeholders collaborating closely with the new contractors to ensure a seamless handover while maintaining existing schedules, Council said in a statement.
