New guidelines for Queensland housing fund

The Queensland Government has released updated guidelines for the next $500 million round of its $2 billion Residential Activation Fund to fast-track housing developments across the state.

The updated guidelines for Round 2 of the Residential Activation Fund provide detailed information for Councils and industry on eligibility criteria and requirements for applicants, with applications to open in the coming weeks.

Deputy Premier and Minister for State Development, Infrastructure and Planning, Jarrod Bleijie encouraged councils and industry to start preparing their applications now to take full advantage of the funding available.

“Our $2 billion Residential Activation Fund provides support for trunk and essential infrastructure projects that are shovel-ready, accelerating new developments so more Queenslanders have a place to call home,” Deputy Premier Bleijie said.

“Under this next round, we’ll invest a further $500 million to fast-track the delivery of homes across the state.

“I strongly encourage councils and industry with shovel-ready projects to begin preparing now for applications to open.”
