Snowy Monaro Regional Council has launched a free local grant funding search platform that makes finding, applying for, and tracking grant funding opportunities easy for local organisations and community groups.
Whether it’s a sporting club in need of funding for better changerooms, a local promoter looking for support to stage a new major event – or any and everything in between – the new service connects our community with all the right funding opportunities, the Council said in a statement.
Mayor, Chris Hanna said GrantGuru and Council had worked successfully together previously on a Federally-funded project for the wider region.
“Having easy and centralised access to grants is a huge benefit to our community,” said the Mayor.
“It’s obviously great for the groups and individuals that secure funding, but in regional areas like the Snowy Monaro, grant-funded community projects and organisations are a really significant part of our social, cultural and even day-to-day life.
“I’m excited that Council is stepping up to provide this important service to our region.”
