Gavin Rhodes has been appointed the new General Manager of Lockhart Shire Council.
Mr Rhodes (pictured) has worked in Local Government for 18 years including the last 10 years as General Manager of Central Tablelands Water.
“We are very pleased that we have been able to attract a General Manager of Gavin’s experience and believe that he is the right person to lead the organisation going forward” said Mayor, Greg Verdon.
Mr Rhodes said he sees the role of General Manager as “an opportunity to support the Mayor and Councillors to advocate on behalf of the Lockhart Shire communities with the focus on building and maintaining relationships with all levels of government to address regional and rural issues”.
“I would like to thank the Mayor and Councillors of Lockhart Shire Council for the privilege to lead another reputable organisation and to serve the communities of Lockhart Shire.

He will be commence in the new role in August, replacing Peter Veneris, who has decided to return to Albury Wodonga after seven years in the role.
