New Deputy Mayor for Cessnock City Council

Councillor Tracey Harrington has been elected Deputy Mayor of Cessnock City Council for the next 12 months, following a vote by elected councillors.

Cr Harrington (pictured) takes over the role from Cr Mitchell Hill, whose term was due to conclude this month.

Mayor, Dan Watton congratulated Cr Harrington and thanked Cr Hill for his service to the community in the role for the past year.

“Councillor Harrington is a lifelong local and has run a business in Cessnock for more than two decades – she is very much invested in our LGA,” Mayor Watton said.

“I have no doubt Councillor Harrington will continue to advance the best interests of our community in this role, and I look forward to working closely with her over the next 12 months, as we continue Council’s important work for our for this local government area and its people.”
