The City of Canning Council has announced the appointment of Nelson Mauricio as the organisation’s new Director Corporate and Commercial.
A Chartered Accountant with an MBA, Mr Mauricio joins the Council from the City of Cockburn, where he worked in senior finance roles, including acting as Director Corporate and Systems Services and leading major TechnologyOne projects.
“I’m excited to join the City of Canning and work with like-minded people to create practical, innovative solutions that make a real difference in the community,” Mr Mauricio said.
“I love coaching and supporting teams to grow, and I’m looking forward to building on the great work already happening.”
Council CEO, Michael Littleton said Mr Mauricio’s experience and leadership would be a great asset to the City.
“Nelson brings strong financial and technology expertise, along with steady leadership to support the team as we continue to move forward,” Mr Littleton said.
“He’ll focus on continuing our digital transformation, reviewing financial systems and delivering great outcomes for our community.”
