Shellharbour City Council has announced the appointment of Wayde Peterson as its new Chief Executive Officer.
Mr Peterson (pictured) has held the Acting CEO position since February and has previously served as the Council’s Executive Director Business Enterprises.
Mayor, Chris Homer, welcomed Mr Peterson to the role.
“This is a pivotal time for Shellharbour City Council. We are setting the stage for a strong and vibrant future,” he said.
“Wayde’s leadership skills, strategic vision and genuine commitment to community will be invaluable in helping shape that future.”
Mr Peterson began his career with the Council as an engineering cadet in 2000. After pursuing other opportunities, he returned for his second stint with the organisation in 2018.
“I am excited to partner with the Mayor, Councillors, our excellent staff and the community to deliver on the vision of a sustainable and thriving City,” he said.
“Collaboration with staff, local communities, partners and government will remain central to how I lead and the outcomes we achieve together.”
