Tasmania’s Central Coast Council has announced the appointment of Vicki Brereton as the organisation’s new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
With an extensive career in local government, policy advisory, and human resources, Ms Brereton (pictured) brings a wealth of experience to the role, the Council said in a statement.
She joins the Central Coast team following her tenure as Director of Organisation Community Capacity at Singleton Council in NSW.
Ms Brereton expressed her enthusiasm for her new role, stating, “My partner and I have always had a strong connection to Tasmania, and we are thrilled to soon call the Central Coast our home. I am looking forward to working with the Mayor, Councillors, and staff to continue the Council’s efforts to make the Central Coast an even better place to live, work, and grow.”
Mayor, Cheryl Fuller, welcomed Ms Brereton’s appointment, stating, “The Central Coast Council is delighted to welcome Vicki Brereton as CEO. We are confident that her experience, leadership, and dedication to the community will play a key role in advancing our priorities and ensuring that the Central Coast continues to thrive in the years to come.”
