Councillor Carol Israel has been elected the new Deputy Mayor for Blacktown City Council.
Councillor Israel (pictured), who lives in Woodcroft, was first elected to Council in 2016 and represents Ward 3.
She said she was honoured to take on the role.
“I am proud to serve the people of Blacktown City. This is a vibrant, diverse and growing city, and I will continue to work to help shape its future, ensuring we have the facilities, open spaces and opportunities that every resident needs.”
Council has acknowledged the contribution of outgoing Deputy Mayor Councillor Bob Fitzgerald, who served the city over the past 12 months.
