Shellharbour bus shelters are getting a creative makeover thanks to Shellharbour City Council’s Art in Unexpected Places program.
The latest instalment of Council’s art program features award-winning Sydney-based artist Sharon Billinge’s site-specific designs that look to explore human relationships.
“The Art in Unexpected Places program keeps surprising and inspiring our community. Sharon’s work is thoughtful and engaging and we are proud to showcase her talent in Shellharbour,” said Mayor, Chris Homer.
Known for her collaborative approach, Ms Billinge works closely with communities to create murals and artworks that reflect local history, shared experiences, and social themes.
“Public art can transform spaces and spark conversations. I love working with communities to create something meaningful that reflects their identity and values,” she said.
