Tertiary education students from the Murrumbidgee Council area can now apply for a Murrumbidgee Council Education Scholarship.
The scholarships, valued at $1,000, are available to students who are studying at a tertiary institution in 2023. This includes university, TAFE and other recognised tertiary education providers.
Murrumbidgee Council Mayor, Ruth McRae said the annual scholarship program was aimed at helping students and their families meet the many costs of studying, particularly when away from home.
“Last year we were proud to award scholarships to seven students: Carissa Bellato, Riley Belling, Austin Mauger, Alex A’Vard, Thomas Gill, Danielle Mannes and Phoebe White,” she said.
Applicants must live within Murrumbidgee Council Local Government Area.
Applications and guidelines for the scholarship are available on Council’s website or at Council offices at Coleambally, Darlington Point and Jerilderie.
Applications for the scholarships close on Friday 17 March 2023.
