Mayoral breakfast for Waverley business women

Waverley Council and the Bondi & Districts Chamber of Commerce has invited local businesses women to connect over an online breakfast with Waverley Mayor, Paula Masselos.

The Mayor (pictured) said the Women’s Breakfast, to be held on Thursday 16 September, at 9.30am, was an opportunity for women to promote their businesses, have an opportunity to share concerns on topics of local relevance and to network with other like-minded women.

“The pandemic has changed the way that we live and work and I’m particularly keen to hear what our local business women have to say about doing business in 2021 and how they are juggling work and family commitments, most especially during the current Greater Sydney lockdown,” Mayor Masselos said.

The Mayor said Waverley Council and the Bondi & Districts Chamber of Commerce had a long history of working together to support the Waverley economy.

She said the Women’s Breakfast builds on the Keep It Local initiative launched by the Council and Chamber in April 2020 to support businesses during the pandemic and into the future.

“I run a business myself, and as Mayor, I’d like to hear from our local business women. I want to understand how we as a Council can proactively support business women in Waverley.”

To register, visit bondichamber.com.au. Participants wishing to order breakfast to ‘share’ remotely may do so by placing an order with Bru Café and Gertrude and Alice Bookstore & Café via the event listing on the Chamber’s website.

“On behalf of the Waverley Council and the Chamber, we look forward to meeting our local business women remotely and where possible, we ask residents to make a commitment to shop locally and support our much-loved businesses,” Mayor Masselos said.
