Lismore City Council has opened a ‘Well-Being Hub’ to support residents as they mark the first anniversary of the area’s devastating floods.
The Hub will be open until Saturday, 4 March, and consists of service providers, support services, activities and events.
Lismore City Mayor, Steve Krieg said the Hub will be a location for residents to reflect on the year that was with support from professional services.
“Making sure we have as much support for the community as possible during this time is essential,” he said.
“The Well-Being Hub is a critical part of the Opening Our Heart commemorations. It is a place where the community can reflect and talk with the support of professional services.”
Services at the Well-Being Hub include Red Cross, Headspace, Interrelate, Safe Haven, Lifeline NNSW, The Salvation Army, NNSW Local Health District, Men and Family Centre, GROW and Social Futures.
A range of healing and reflection activities will also take place, these include creative writing workshops, arts and crafts, films, music and yoga.
