Lismore City Council was awarded a Commander’s Certificate of Appreciation at yesterday’s Richmond Police District Awards Ceremony.
Mayor, Steve Krieg (pictured) accepted the certificate on behalf of the Council.
The certificate was awarded in recognition of the assistance Council gave to police in the aftermath of the 28 February 2022 natural disaster that included providing Council Chambers as an Emergency Command Centre and helping house members of the Victorian police who also came to Lismore.
The Ceremony was attended by NSW Police Commissioner, Karen Webb and three Deputy Commissioners.
