A state-of-the-art library and community hub is on the way for the Ballan community, Victorian Minister for Local Government, Shaun Leane announced today.
Minister Leane today joined Member for Buninyong, Michaela Settle, in Ballan to announce Moorabool Shire Council will receive $3.5 million from the Growing Suburbs Fund and $1.5 million from the latest round of the Living Libraries Infrastructure Program to deliver the project.
“We’re making huge investments in libraries and community facilities across the state to create local jobs and ensure Victorians have access to the resources they need in their own backyards,” said Mr Leane.
The Ballan Library and Community Hub will include library services, Maternal and Child Health services, an art exhibition space, visitor information centre and community meeting rooms.
“The Ballan Library & Community Hub will be a huge boost to the thriving Ballan community with a council Library, Maternal & Child Health services, exhibition space, visitor information and community meeting rooms,” said Member for Buninyong, Michaela Settle.
“I know this will make a huge difference to everyone in town and I can’t wait to see it open and full of life.”
