Kempsey Shire Council is offering three scholarships for community members to attend the Social Impact in the Regions conference which will take place from 4 – 6 September.
The conference is set to explore a range of tools, techniques, beliefs, and practices to empower attendees to create more impact in their regional communities.
In 2023, the inaugural Social Impact in the Regions conference was held in Coffs Harbour, NSW, with 165 attendees from across Australia, representing not-for-profits, Aboriginal corporations, community groups, government, and philanthropy.
With a theme of Accelerate & Amplify Your Impact in Regional Australia, the 2024 conference will be held in Kempsey, NSW.

Scholarship Opportunity
Kempsey Shire Council is offering scholarships for three individuals based in the Kempsey LGA to attend and gain insights from the Social Impact in the Regions conference to drive social change in our community. The scholarship includes tickets to all conference activities and functions.
Criteria
Scholarship candidates should demonstrate the following qualities through their online application:
- You are a local change maker and/or community leader based in the Kempsey LGA, addressing social change in our local community.
- You actively contribute to improving their community within the Kempsey LGA in a practical and tangible manner.
- You are willing to share learnings with Council and others in the community.
Terms and Conditions
- Scholarships are not redeemable for cash.
- The assessment panel’s decision is final.
- Successful applicants will be notified on or before Tuesday, 6 August 2024 (four weeks prior to the event).
