Campbelltown residents will soon have a new reason to get outdoors, with construction now underway on the Kanbyugal Parklands Mountain Bike Park project in Woodbine.
Campbelltown City Council says the project will deliver a vibrant new mountain bike destination in the heart of Woodbine, transforming the underutilised space into a place where riders of all ages and abilities can get moving, build confidence and enjoy the outdoors.
Once completed, the project will see more than 8.3km of track delivered through a network of 13 new trails.
“This is going to be a fantastic new space for our community, giving residents of all ages a fun and active way to spend time outdoors right in our city,” said Mayor, Darcy Lound.
“This project is a great investment in an outdoor recreation space that will create a destination for people from all over the Macarthur region to enjoy and utilise.
“This project will see Campbelltown’s first mountain bike track with an investment of over $1.5 million in partnership with Campbelltown City Council. What this means, is the ongoing commitment of the NSW Government to work with Campbelltown Council to invest in our local community and build a better Campbelltown for all,” said State Member for Campbelltown, Parliamentary Secretary for Western Sydney, Greg Warren.
Kanbyugal Parklands Mountain Bike Park will include:
- Trails for beginners, intermediate and advanced riders;
- Upgrades to existing tracks;
- A dedicated extreme riding area.
The project is expected to be completed by late 2026.
The bike park is being funded by the NSW Government through the Western Sydney Infrastructure Grants Program in partnership with Campbelltown City Council.
