Inverloch to Wonthaggi path breaks ground

Works are now underway on a 14-kilometre shared path that will make it easier for pedestrians and cyclists to travel from Inverloch to Wonthaggi.

The joint project, valued at $7.7 million, was celebrated by Victorian Minister for Suburbs, Sonya Kilkenny; Member for Bass, Jordan Crugnale and Bass Coast Shire Council Mayor, Clare Le Serve in Inverloch earlier this week.

The Council says the new off-road path will not only connect Inverloch and Wonthaggi, but also offer breathtaking scenery, promote active recreation, and enhance community health and wellbeing, serving as a new nature-based tourism attraction.

Funded with a $3 million contribution from the Victorian Government through the Growing Suburbs Fund, the project is set to be completed by mid-2026.
