Hume City’s local business leaders, industry stakeholders, economic development partners, and councillors gathered last night to celebrate local business excellence at the annual Hume Business Awards 2022.
“The Hume Business Awards provide a notable opportunity for us all to come together to celebrate our remarkable local businesses,” said Mayor, Carly Moore.
“To all award nominees, finalists, and winners, which are made up from our local business owners and staff – thank you for the significant contribution you each make to the local economy, and our community.”
Greenvale’s Living Legends were recognised for their incredible work in revitalising visitor tourism across Hume and were crowned Business of the Year as well as leading the Visitor economy (tourism) category. Mind Care Consulting’s Dr Esma Kurt, was awarded the 2022 Business Leader Award.
The gathering was the first ‘in-person’ Hume Business Awards event since 2019, serving as a timely reminder that Hume’s local economy is on a path to recovery and revitalisation thanks to the strength and resilience of its local businesses, the Mayor said.
The awards recognise local businesses for their excellence across 15 different award categories including customer service, diversity, start-up, circular economy and more.
In addition to these 13 categories, there are two major awards of the night – the Business Leader Award and the Business of the Year Award.
