A sudden hailstorm has caused significant damage to the Grafton Library, with multiple holes reported in the building’s roof.
In a statement, Clarence Valley Council said the extent of the hail damage was still being assessed.
“And at this stage it is not known when the library will be able to reopen,” the Council stated.
“The Clarence Valley Council team is working closely with its insurance provider to address the repairs as quickly as possible.
“Council thanks the community for their patience and understanding during this time and will provide updates as more information becomes available.”
