Griffith Council welcomes new youth advisor

Griffith City Council has welcomed Charli Scott as its incoming Youth Advisor, taking over from Ellie Andreazza, who has successfully led the Youth Advisory Group (YAG) for the past 12 months.

Ms Andreazza reflected on her time in the role, describing it as an incredibly rewarding experience.

“Being the Youth Advisor over the past year has been an amazing opportunity to make a real impact on the lives of young people in and around Griffith,” she said.

“One of my proudest achievements was organising the drive-in movie event in 2024, which brought our community together in a fun and engaging way.”

“Leading the YAG has been a privilege, and I can’t wait to see what the next year holds under Charli’s leadership.”

Ms Scott, who has just completed Year 12, is excited to step into the role and drive youth-focused initiatives.

“I’m really looking forward to meeting and working with the Youth Advisory Group and getting started on planning events for the year ahead. There are so many opportunities to bring young people  together, and I can’t wait to make it happen,” she said.

One of the first major events already in the planning stages is a Colour Fun Run, set to take place in the first half of the year.

In a statement, the Council said it looks forward to supporting Charli in her new role and continuing to engage young people in meaningful ways throughout 2025.
