Glenorchy council signs on to OneCouncil tools

Glenorchy City Council had adopted TechnologyOne’s SaaS+ offering to rapidly deploy the next generation OneCouncil platform, providing staff with business-critical tools including reliable reporting, budgeting and forecasting insights to efficiently manage and deliver $1.5 billion of development.

The Council says SaaS+ delivers the benefits of new technology faster through a commercial model that removes traditional upfront implementation fees and reduces the risk of time and cost blowouts often seen in digital transformation.

OneCouncil brings together finance, property and compliance, human resources and payroll, and document management into one integrated system, removing the silos that have historically challenged local government administrations.

It says residents can expect easier access to services and faster response times. For Council staff, it provides accurate, real-time data to support evidence-based decision making.

“For our community, this digital uplift means better value from every ratepayer dollar. By operating more efficiently, we can reduce administrative costs, avoid expensive system failures, and focus resources where they matter most — delivering reliable services and supporting Glenorchy’s longterm growth,” said Council CEO, Emilio Reale.

He said the digital uplift demonstrates that local councils can balance financial sustainability and economic growth without compromising on customer experience or reducing services.

“In today’s economic climate, every dollar counts. By avoiding the hidden costs of generic non-industry specific technology providers and investing in proven local solutions, councils can protect their budgets while delivering better services for their communities. We are thrilled to continue our partnership with Glenorchy Council and support them as they embark on the next chapter of their digital transformation,” said TechnologyOne EVP for Local Government, Ben Malpass.
