Georges River launches Business Connect initiative

Georges River Council has announced a new event designed to give local businesses the opportunity to directly engage with Council staff and streamline their navigation of Council’s approvals and processes.

The ‘Business Connect’ event will be held at Georges River Council and Service NSW on Wednesday 23 October 2024 from 2-4pm, with participants to receive tailored guidance and resources to help businesses thrive within the Georges River area, the Council said in a statement.

The event provides business operators with a chance to have informal conversations with Council staff from various teams and representatives from the Service NSW Business Concierge Service.

Attendees will be introduced to upcoming opportunities and valuable resources that cater specifically to their business needs.

“We’re looking forward to opening the lines of communication with our local business community through Business Connect,” said Council General Manager, David Tuxford.

“We believe that by working together, we can create a supportive environment that encourages growth and innovation in the Georges River area.”

The event will begin with a brief presentation about Georges River Council and the Service NSW Business Concierge Service, outlining how we support local businesses. This will be followed by the opportunity for business owners to engage with Council teams in a relaxed setting to discuss their individual business needs.

Registrations are required for this event. For more details visit the Business Connect: Navigating Council With Confidence page on Council’s website.
